New friends

In the past week I hooked up via email and a phone call with the coordinator of the Colombia department, Sue. We discussed a new option for Mike and I, adopting from an adoption house. Bethany currently works with 3; Los Pisingos, CRAN, and Auydame. I guess from what I gathered is you can adopt 2 ways either from ICBF (Instituto Colombia de Bienestar Familiar) or adoption houses. ICBF is less expensive but can take 3-4 years on average. The adoption house seems to be much faster and are for families that are infertile, childless, and looking for an infant but of course with a much higher price tag. Not only do we want our child as soon possible but we have heard wonderful things about Los Pisingos and CRAN from a family who has adopted 4 children from there. Sue gave me Kristi's email and she has been such a blessing with information on her experiences and support for us. Bethany has been wonderful with responding to questions and getting us hooked up with other families who have gone through their program.
