Last Thursday was another F.A.C.E.S meeting and it was amazing...I know I say it every time but Mike would agree. First off our caseworker from Bethany was there so we got to discuss the next steps which is an informational meeting over the phone, then on to the home study. The guest speaker was a wonderful Godly couple who went through Bethany for domestic adoption after two failed adoptions they brought home a precious 9month old boy. Their story was heartwarming and encouraging. Mike and I went to eat afterward and discussed once again domestic. I don't think there is a "wrong" place to adopt from however I do think one place may better fit us than another its just figuring that all out before the home study begins (the home study is directed towards whatever country you choose.)
Saturday afternoon our caseworker called! She just went over the process and any questions we may have had. The big news is that our first home study is October 7th!!! There is actually only 3 I thought 4 so that is kind of nice. The first is paperwork and learning how to put together our dossier(legal documents), second is joint interview, and the third is single interview. We are in the hurry up and wait mode please continue to pray that Mike and I will have patience and guidance.
Colossians 1:10-12
And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
