Home study 1 bumped! Already? I guess our caseworker thought we had already turned in our "homework" and that is why she had scheduled the home study for this Thursday however we just received our "homework" packet on Saturday and boy is there some stuff to do! So on Sunday evening we heading to Starbucks and about 2 hours later, a pumpkin spice latte, grande coffee, laughs, and running after blown away papers we finished up 50% of it. Home safety check requirements, doctor appointments for us and the dog, some notarized papers and we will be set. Whew and this is just to start the home study?!
Our first fundraiser is over! We participated in our community garage sale on Saturday morning. It was a last minute decision but pretty effective and so much fun. We can't wait for the next one in May. We met 4 couples that either have adopted or are in the process and also a couple that have been adopted themselves. It was a neat experience to see just in our own community who have taken in the orphaned.
