what hasn't been going on?!

Our packet was sent off yesterday and in the past week we finished 9 pages of questions about our family, childhood, and marriage, Buddy had his annual exam (he passed), Mike and I had tetanus shots, TB test, HIV test, and urine drug screening (we passed), copies of birth and marriage certificates, W-9 forms, addresses from the time we were 18 and lots of papers signed and notarized. The most important part is that we finished it in what we consider record time and still have enough steam to get our home ready for the home study. That reminds me we had to put child safety locks on the cabinets and another smoke detector put up in our baby's room! Yep you read it right we will actually have a nursery...CRAZY! Life is wonderful, beautiful and oh so crazy. I was told when you start the adoption process put on your full armor because Satan is after you more than ever so being prepared is key for us and that is why we attend F.A.C.E.S meetings (adoption support group). Last night I took my mom since Mike was working and she was able to hear the wonderful stories of adoption. I'm glad she is able to experience the support and prayer that that Mike and I do as we go through this journey.

will be my new hang out
first packet off to the post office
