to shower or not to shower

That is the question. OK maybe I should rephrase it to have a baby shower before or after. If I was pregnant this would not be a question, however the circumstances for adoptive parents are much different no matter how hard we try to be like "traditional" families. So after much blog reading, soul searching, and asking family for advice we came up with, well frankly that it's up to me. It's my day....but really is it? Mike is sharing the same morning sickness(worry), food cravings(just makes you feel better), stretch marks(being stretch to our limit), and sleepless nights(praying constantly). It may be a little different like you can not do the gender test on me or measure my belly with string, well I guess technically you could....er...but to have friends and family surround me with good wishes it might be something to consider. Most importantly it needs to be said that having a baby shower is just that it's for A BABY. My mom and sister both have brought it up and it makes my heart leap for joy just thinking all my life I waited for a baby shower in my honor. I'm still thinking about it but I also have a wonderful party planned for after. We will just have to wait and see....
