My Eyes

It's ok if they don't share my eyes they will share my hopes and dreams. This baby will not look anything like us but they will look at us as mom and dad.

We attended our second F.A.C.E.S meeting at our church it stands for, For A Child's Eternal Salvation. They are a support and awareness group and already we have learned so much. Talking to people that have gone or are going through the same thing we are is enlightening. Last night we met the women most likely to handle our home study. Hope we made a good impression on her. She also told us about the steps and how the process moves along. I guess our next paperwork will be an autobiography... "family secrets" lol.
I already started retrieving paperwork for the dossier packet which comes after the home study but I guess it is very time consuming getting everything together and notarized so I started! I already ordered our certified birth certificates and marriage license. I can see that soon the financial burden will arise, just alone for those documents it cost us $95.25!
The adoption worker for Bethany told us that things will move pretty quickly with the home study and paperwork but then you wait and wait and wait....Pray that we will not become discouraged or anxious for The Lord says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God." Philipians 4:6
Also, please pray that we will know exactly where to adopt from we have chosen Colombia, but is that what God has chosen for us. For some reason domestic adoption keeps showing its face in our conversation. We pray for guidance.
