another day closer

This past weekend was great, we had nothing scheduled to do except enjoy Mike's birthday! Every year I write "this will be the best year yet!" in his card. While we have had some pretty great years together I don't think anything will top him becoming a daddy! We had breakfast at his favorite spot First Watch, relaxed, and dinner at Charley's Steakhouse...what a treat! May this be the very best year for you honey, I can't believe this is our year to become parents. I love you for everything you are and the dad I know you will be!

Happy B-day!

Baby L is growing like a little weed. She is now 6.2lbs if she gets any bigger the newborn clothes will only fit for about a week! I have her take home outfit ready, hope it fits! My mom was able to go to the 38week sonogram and spend time with her grand baby. She felt her move and saw her squirm around on the screen, it is so wonderful that Bobbie let's us experience this. Before I thought she was coming early now I think she will make it all the way to 40 weeks. That is a very good thing for her health and that is all we are concerned over yet Mike and I can't wait to hold her and honestly we just want this all to be over, we want to know for sure she is ours, even if she is on loan ; ) Those 48 hours will be the hardest we will have to endure. We met Bobbie at 18 weeks and now at 38 weeks its hard to believe this is coming to an end, we have had many ups and downs, doubts, and fears but most of all we met a caring, loving girl who wanted to give us a child. How hard is it going to be to say goodbye, either way it turns out I don't think we can mentally prepare ourselves for such a time. We wrote her a letter that we will give to her after birth, I cry every time I read it, I get teary eyed just writing this post knowing what "that day" will be like when we depart. God DOES give us more than we can handle so we will lean on HIM, I feel like we are walking into something that may be beyond what we can handle.
