Standing in the gap

What a weekend... It started Saturday at 4:30am when our alarm went off for our triathlon in Clermont. We roll out of bed, we know it's going to get better this isn't our first. We head out the door and a few hours later we are crossing the finish line. Not to say it was that easy there were hills that were unexpected on the bike and run but now we have a free pass to eat whatever we want all day long and that means Tanya's & Matt's ice cream! We enjoyed just being able to relax the rest of the day.
Sunday morning was amazing I woke up with the idea of maybe going to breakfast and watching some informational DVD's that we need to watch for a church class we have been attending but when I told Mike that idea he said no let's go to church. The Holy Spirit puts you right where you need to be at the right time. Our church rarely does alter calls but this morning we had one and Mike and I went up on our knees and just prayed for a child, however Lord you want us to be parents show us and give to us. It was emotional but uplifting at the same time especially to have my sister there with Mike & I, someone who has been so blessed with children. The song "Standing in the Gap" was on which is one of my favorite songs and even have it in my IVF journal. "I'm standing in the gap for you know that someone out there is praying for you." The rest of the day we felt a burden lifted for we know we could never carry this alone. He will provide.
Sunday evening we watched the informational DVD's regarding intercountry adoption and the process involved. We are in the process of filling out our application and hope to have in submitted by Wednesday. We are excited and nervous but the more we talk about it the more real in becomes. Could it be that Mike & I were chosen for this???
