why we do what we do

"It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else." - Erma Bombeck

We are not focused on infertility anymore we are focused on adoption and adoption for us was not the result of infertility it is a result of God working in our heart. We did not choose to grow our family this way it was chosen for us long before we met, it was placed in Mike's heart and mine at different times in our life and by grace we were given each other to walk this path. The grace did not stop there, we were given remarkable people to push and pull us along.
Adoption means being ready when you really don't know when your time is, it means having a nursery and all the things to fill it. Some think we are crazy but in the world of adoption it's the normal. We found out the hard way. I always told Mike I want to have the nursery ready for our baby not a specific baby but I procrastinated and didn't buy the things I needed and then all the sudden we got the call and within a week the majority was complete, except the bedding which I'm sewing : ) but we bought all these wonderful little things, little in size for a baby boy, with a name. Just what I did not want to do because I knew the pain would be worse if we did it that way. And it was. So I am officially preparing the nursery with no gender or baby in mind just one day to have it filled with a sweet little cry. I will post pictures as they come along because who doesn't like to look at precious baby things?! Sneak peek:
Golden books my mom kept from our childhood
says"God saw all that He hath made and it was very good"

fabric for crib sheet & skirt. figure turquoise could go either way and well the pink I just couldn't pass up that will only be a crib sheet if needed

found this vintage (old) rocking chair at goodwill calling my name to be refurbished

Our nursery gives us hope, a place to kneel, praise and cry. I love it. It's peaceful and perfect.
